Sickness International is the alias of Peter Polack, an artist and researcher whose practice spans investigative research, game development, and interactive and musical lecture-performances. His work has been presented in human rights fora, used to dismantle police information systems, and published in scientific and humanities journals. His current work as Sickness International uses experience with chronic illness as a method to examine the politics of computing design and utopias—namely the history and epistemology of cybernetics—through interconnected fictions, writing, and immersive media. He is currently a participant in BPA// Berlin Program for Artists, as well as a researcher and software developer investigating the environmental and social impact of data center developments.
