Zachary Cooper

Zachary Cooper is a legal scholar, lecturer, musician and filmmaker at the Weizenbaum Institute Berlin and the Amsterdam Law & Technology Institute. His current research programme explores the techno-regulatory incoherence of applying copyright to emerging forms of Generative AI-enabled media.
His interdisciplinary research programme has led to over 60 speaking invitations worldwide, been presented at the European Parliament, as well as consulted by lawyers in US federal lawsuits and by NPR and Bloomberg Law, and has been presented at the European Parliament, as well as consulted by lawyers in US federal lawsuits and by NPR and Bloomberg Law.
His music has been lauded as “already the stuff of legend” (Unsound) and “one of the best bands on the planet, completely original” (The Quietus).
His first feature-film won a number of awards worldwide, including the Audience Award at the FFFA.
