Travel info
To ensure you can get to the KOSMOS Festival and back home safely and stress-free on August 29, you’ll find here—updated regularly—all the important information about getting there and transportation options around the festival. Plan your trip as early as possible and use public transportation or a bike if you can. That way, you’ll arrive at the festival relaxed and get home safely.
Arriving by Car
No dedicated parking spaces are designated for the festival. We therefore recommend that you travel by public transportation whenever possible.
Arriving by Public Transportation
Bus & Train (CVAG)
To ensure you can get home easily after the festival, CVAG will be expanding its nighttime bus service. We’ll post details here as soon as they’re available.
Trains (MRB)
The Mitteldeutsche Regiobahn’s service will also be expanded for the festival period (particularly the RB30 Chemnitz–Dresden and the RE6 Chemnitz–Leipzig). Further information on specific departure times will follow.
Chemnitz Central Station
From the Zentralhaltestelle, you can reach Chemnitz Central Station:
- on foot in about 10 minutes
- or by bus lines 22, 23, 31 & 32
After-show parties
You can also reach the after-show parties at the clubs via public transit:
- Club Atomino & transit: Tram 2 Bernsdorf & 3 Technopark, as well as Bus 52 & 82, both at the Bernsbachplatz stop
- Spinnerei: Bus 52, Bruno-Salzer-Straße stop
- LOKOMOV: Tram 5 Gablenz, Tschaikowskistraße stop
Traveling with Flix

- Daily direct connections to Chemnitz are available from the following locations, among others:
- Dresden: up to 12 trips each way, starting at 1 hour travel time
- Jena: up to 3 trips each way, starting at 1 hour 25 minutes

- Prague: up to 6 trips in each direction, starting at 2 hours 55 minutes
- Nuremberg: up to 3 trips in each direction, starting at 3 hours
