Awareness at the KOSMOS Festival
For a KOSMOS where everyone feels comfortable.
The KOSMOS Festival is intended to be a place where we can feel free and celebrate an open society. Awareness means that we look out for each other and interact with consideration, responsibility, and solidarity. To ensure this for everyone, we as the Awareness Team from reflect.awareness e.V. are on site.
Who is reflect.awareness?
As a non-profit association, we advise and support the KOSMOS Festival. Together, we aim to create safe spaces, enable inclusion, and social justice. Everyone should feel comfortable and safe at KOSMOS – that's what we are committed to.
- We ensure that respectful interaction is of utmost importance.
- We are there when those affected need support – no matter what has happened.
- We help to identify structures that harm or disadvantage others.
Defining power & advocacy – the pillars of our work
- Defining power: Only you decide what is okay for you and how you have experienced a situation. The Awareness Team listens to you and takes your perspective seriously.
- Partisanship: We stand with those who have experienced discrimination or violence.
At its core, awareness work requires an anti-sexist, anti-discriminatory attitude and speaks out against all forms of violence.
Where can you find reflect.awareness in the cosmos?
We are on the move around the premises and available for you at fixed points of contact. You can recognize us by the pink vests with the “reflect.awareness” print.
- Awareness Points: There are three awareness points on the premises, which are marked on the site map. They consist of an open information booth and a sheltered pavilion. Here you will find a sympathetic ear, information, support – and something to refresh you.
