A Start Without Violence—Boxing as a School for Life
Sportaktionen - Demokratie und gesellschaftlicher Zusammenhalt

This 110-minute program demonstrates how boxing and martial arts bring people together and instill important values for living in harmony. As a boxer, martial artist, and certified anti-violence trainer, I combine athletic training with violence prevention and personal development.
Children, teens, and adults from my club showcase their skills in friendly exhibition matches and technique demonstrations. The focus is not on winning or losing, but on respect, fairness, discipline, and mutual appreciation. The participants demonstrate how they take responsibility, follow rules, and support one another.
Between demonstrations, visitors gain insights into the basics of anti-violence training. The program explains how sports build self-confidence, can resolve conflicts without violence, and bring people together regardless of background, age, or experience.
The program invites families, children, teens, and adults to watch, cheer, and participate. It fosters connections, breaks down prejudices, and makes it clear that boxing is far more than just a competitive sport: it is a tool for integration, personal development, and social cohesion.
With this article, I would like to show how sports build bridges, strengthen democracy and respectful coexistence, and make a positive contribution to Chemnitz as the 2026 European Capital of Culture.
