accident exercises
Performance
Rotterdam Presenta develop exercises in which they simulate accidents. They observe collisions, falls, and missteps. Together with the performance art group Contact Gonzo (Osaka), they establish a laboratory for risk culture and reflect on the accident as a moment of deformation and destabilization, on the qualities of non-sovereign bodies, and on the power of the sudden. In four accident exercises, human bodies, fruit, and motor vehicles collide and are subjected to meticulous observation.
