Performance

Why does an algorithm know that my exercise was performed incorrectly? How does it recognize violent actions in surveillance videos?
In a live setting of performance, dance, music, and projection, the performers confront machine learning algorithms and their classifications of human movement. The mechanical eye, which judges movement solely based on its characteristics, detached from context, situation, or environment, does not always make the right decisions. To counteract this, the performance democratizes the machine learning processes, allowing multiple algorithms to assess the same moving situations and thus returning the decision-making power to the audience – what and whether anything was assessed correctly lies in the eye of the beholder.
