“Find Someone Who…" – Encounters That Wouldn’t Happen Otherwise
Workshops oder Mitmachformate - Demokratie und gesellschaftlicher Zusammenhalt
It’s not always easy to strike up a conversation with people you don’t know—especially those who live, think, or feel very differently from you. Yet that’s exactly what urban life thrives on: exchange, togetherness, and bridging the gap. We believe that genuine encounters are key to this.
In a simple, playful, and surprising way, you’ll meet people here whom you’d probably never have encountered otherwise, and engage in conversation with them.
Come on by! You don’t need to bring anything—except yourself and a willingness to open up to others. Be curious!
Concept:
In our interactive format at the KOSMOS Festival, we create a safe space where biographical encounters are experienced through self-reflection.
However, we don’t want to get stuck in these biographical encounters; rather, drawing on this self-reflection, we’ll reflect on learning experiences with you and explore how such encounters can be harnessed for the benefit of urban society even beyond the KOSMOS Festival.
What to Expect:
• short, guided encounters with strangers
• creative prompts that make conversations lighthearted and surprising
• a safe environment where you can try new things
• space for reflection: What worked? What was surprising?
• jointly developing ideas on how to foster more encounters in everyday life
What we’re all about:
• Overcoming reservations and fostering curiosity
• Promoting creative communication
• Experiencing self-efficacy in encounters
• Discovering new perspectives
• Actively shaping social cohesion
