Flesh Network - Installation

Without the integration of technical features that were once developed to support people with disabilities, the Internet as we know it today would not be what we are familiar with.

Based on this observation, the installation *Flesh Network* by the collective Sickness International creates opportunities to explore the connection of bodies through digital technologies by experiencing it firsthand. At its core is the question of how closeness, intimacy, and control change when people are connected to one another via technical systems. Bodies are no longer presented merely as individual entities, but as part of a shared network. The work reveals how boundaries between people blur and how physical experiences—such as touch or reaction—can be mediated and influenced by technology. This creates a tension between connection and dependence, between closeness and loss of control. Flesh Network invites visitors to reflect on the role of their own bodies in an increasingly interconnected world.

At the KOSMOS Festival, we’ll make the game-based installation accessible to festival guests, facilitate hands-on experiences on-site for those interested, and present the project during an artist talk.
