Kat Kit has created a new world for herself. Just last year, she was named Newcomer of the Year by local heroes and was featured by SWR, Deutschlandfunk, and on Titel Thesen Temperamente, among others. Now, Kat has set aside the piano and has delved even deeper into soft, bouncy sounds with synths and vocal chops. It's as if an introverted Tumblr kid suddenly could craft 3D-animated purple soap bubbles - only in a musical sense.

Soft Power still has it just the same: even with a vocoder and autotune, her voice retains its natural fragility. "That's what you call unique," says singer Angela Peltner.
