PA69

PA69 – “PA” pronounced in English and “69” in German – is a rap formation from Berlin. Very little to nothing is known about the identity of the three pink-masked rappers DJ DOPE, Rabatto, and Turbogianni. It is certain that they grew up in the commuter belt of Berlin and in the northeast German provinces. The elusive nature of the individuals behind PA69 gives the three rappers the tremendous freedom to effortlessly slip into the most varied roles. Lyrically, they work with anti-styles and obscure reference worlds, the more bizarre the better. So while other players in the music scene are about coolness, toughness, and wealth, these rappers deliberately embrace being uncool. PA69 flirts with exactly what others look down upon: life in the provinces, fingerboards, counterfeit luxury watches, or supermarket loyalty points.
