Your Blind Date with Politics – Less Small Talk, More Listening!
Workshops oder Mitmachformate - Demokratie und gesellschaftlicher Zusammenhalt

Do you feel like politicians aren’t listening to you? At the Political Blind Date, it’s not who you are that matters, but what matters to you. And here, you’ll be heard! Through this format, we bring people and politics together. It’s not about sharing the same opinion, but about listening to one another.
Using a key challenge of our time as an example, you’ll discuss the following in short, moderated discussion rounds: How does politics specifically affect my everyday life? What worries me, and what makes me optimistic? What do I hope for my future?
In this workshop, you’ll experience firsthand a major question facing our democracy: How can we ensure that politics truly engages with people—outside of talk shows, party events, and election campaigns? At the Political Blind Date, you’ll meet on equal footing.
The nonpartisan project “Hallo Bundestag” brings people selected at random together with their members of the Bundestag around one table. The workshop offers insight into the “Constituency Day” format and lets you experience what conversations about and with politicians can look like: dialogue-oriented and surprisingly unifying. The project organizes 50 Constituency Days across Germany and aims to establish the format as a long-term initiative.
