When Young Voices asked the city’s youth what they wanted for Chemnitz, the answer was loud and clear: Spätis!

They’re social gathering spots, spaces for interaction, and places where you can still get a cold drink or snacks even after 8 p.m. Young Voices wants to address this wish and is therefore setting up a Späti in the form of an art installation at KOSMOS. Not only can marbles collected in advance be exchanged here for small, “Späti”-style goods, but the event will also feature journalistic segments, a panel discussion on “Späti” culture and its significance for a city, and opportunities for social interaction.
