The “Mile of Initiatives” is a key part of the KOSMOS Festival. Clubs, initiatives, and active citizens from Chemnitz come together here to showcase themselves and their work for democracy.
The “Mile of Initiatives” has been part of the festival since the very first KOSMOS in 2019 and shows how vibrant and diverse the city’s community is. For the 2026 festival on August 29, the Mile will once again take place on the grounds around Hartmannplatz and the Hartmannfabrik. This year, for the first time, the Chemnitz Volunteer Center is supporting us with preparations and execution.
Want to be part of it? Fill out the application form by July 19, 2026, at the latest. Participation will be granted based on available capacity and alignment with the values of the KOSMOS Festival.
