Alex Barbian

Alex Barbian is a freelance music journalist. While studying history at Freie Universität Berlin, he worked as a host for MTV Germany and various hip-hop websites. Later, he worked for publications including *Die Zeit*, fluter.de, and Deutschlandfunk Kultur. His interview podcast SINUS was honored in 2022 at the International Music Journalism Awards as “Best Work of Music Journalism under 30.” Barbian contributed as a writer to the ARD documentary series “Xatar—One Life Is Not Enough” and hosts the podcasts “zum Dorfkrug” and “Reeperbahn Festival Deep Dive.”
