Anna Lux

Anna Lux is a historian whose work focuses on the culture of remembrance and the transformation processes in East Germany. At the University of Freiburg im Breisgau, she was part of the project “The Controversial Legacy of 1989” and examined the period of upheaval in 1989–90 and East German experiences as depicted in novels, feature films, and songs. Together with Jonas Brückner, she published the book *Neon/Gray. 1989 and East German Experiences in Pop,” which was published by Verbrecher Verlag in 2025.
