With his new project, “Songs I Wrote Instead of Jumping Out the Window,” beslik (formerly Meister) presents his most personal and comprehensive work to date. The debut album comprises twelve songs, bringing together his long-standing, rhapsodic body of work and distilling the complexity of his artistic expression. Despite the somber title, the project thrives on a distinctive lightness with which beslik blends mystical, jazzy soundscapes and profound lyrics, carried by an intuitive ease that has defined his work for years.
beslik moves confidently between decadence and the abyss, between ignorance and depth, between dark, hard-hitting moments and slightly philosophical street stories. His music reflects the emotional turmoil of young city dwellers in the concrete jungle of North Rhine-Westphalia and showcases an artist who unites chaos, growth, and creative continuity—versatile, uncompromising, and with a signature style that has long been unmistakable in the German rap scene.
In 2026, beslik will embark on the “Tour I’m Doing to Pay Off My Debts So I Can Buy a Huge House with a Garden and Then Get Depressed in It” throughout Germany, featuring, among other tracks, “Songs I Wrote Instead of Jumping Out the Window.”
