Jana Mila Lippitz

Jana Mila Lippitz (born in 1988 in Hamburg) moves with her work between image, text, and performance. She explores the boundaries and possibilities of each medium and relates them to one another. She is interested in questions regarding the (im)possibilities of representation and documentation.

Lippitz studied photography (HGB Leipzig, diploma; Folkwang University of the Arts, Essen, B.A.) and applied theater studies (Justus Liebig University, Giessen, B.A.). During the winter semester of 2016/17, she studied graphic design at the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, and during the winter semester of 2011/12, she was a student in the Department of Dance and Photography/Video at Yıldız Technical University in Istanbul.
