Janne Schröder

Janne Schröder (1995) is a performer and director. Her work is based on movement and improvisation, through which she explores both the sensual and the political body. In her choreographic compositions, she combines movement with textual material and invites her audience into a reality of shared vulnerability, resistance, and beauty that is both poetic and political.

She holds an international master’s degree in “Performing Public Space” (NL) and a bachelor’s degree in “Cultural Studies and Aesthetic Practice” (GER). In 2025, she participated in the “FAICC – Intensive Course in Interpretation and Choreography” at Instável – Choreographic Center in Porto. She has performed at renowned international dance festivals such as DDD – Dias da Dança and Serralves em Festa. Since 2020, she has been part of the artistic direction of PELE, where she develops artistic interventions and site-specific performances in community contexts.
