Karlheinz Steinmüller

I am interested in the future in all its aspects—from the fascinating visions of science fiction to the wild cards of futurology, right down to the fundamental question: What kind of knowledge can we gain about the future?

I am originally from Klingenthal, Saxony; I studied physics (Diplom) and philosophy (Dr. phil.) in Chemnitz and Berlin, and worked on mathematical modeling of ecosystems at an institute of the Academy of Sciences of the GDR. I have been writing science fiction since 1976, almost exclusively in collaboration with my wife, Angela. Since 1991, I have also been involved in futurology, initially for several years in Gelsenkirchen.
