Luisa Neubauer

Luisa Neubauer is a climate activist, co-organizer of Fridays for Future, and is considered one of the most prominent figures in the German climate movement.

In 2021, she and others won the landmark Constitutional Court ruling “Neubauer v. Germany” against the German government in the fight for political climate protection measures.

For seven years, Luisa and the movement have been bringing hundreds of thousands of people onto the streets. For some time now, Luisa Neubauer has been increasingly building alliances to protect democracy and the climate. In October 2023, she was honored with the Predigt Prize, and at the end of 2023, she spoke at the Vatican.

She has met with President Macron, Angela Merkel, and Barack Obama and has published five bestselling books on the climate crisis; in the spring of 2025, her fifth book, “What If We Were Brave,” was published.
