Nicole Kühmel

FreiSpiel is a space for expression, movement, and authentic connection. We—Romy and Nicole—are the driving force behind FreiSpiel, and our shared vision is to help people reconnect with themselves, beyond roles, expectations, and the constant demands of everyday life. Our focus is on theater and drama therapy, which we combine with elements of dance and voice work to create a space where people are not only allowed to speak, but above all to experience, feel, and experiment. We work with women, children, and families, creating spaces for experience where people can encounter themselves in new ways—playfully, physically, sometimes quietly, and sometimes powerfully. Especially in a festival setting, we want to open up a space that feels light yet allows for depth—a place where people can move, express themselves, let go, and simply be, without having to prove anything.
