Power Plush

Power Plush have built themselves a universe—out of cotton batting, construction foam, and modeling clay—cozy and colorful, a world away from the gray of the Saxon countryside. A safe space for anyone grappling with tangled emotional knots and in need of a shoulder to lean on. Anja, Maria, Svenja, and Nino blend influences from various decades of pop history, moving somewhere between Woodstock and college rock, flowery indie, post-punk, and alternative music from the future—driven by feather-light immediacy, yet full of energy and always with their hearts leading the way.

While their debut album “Coping Fantasies” was still an emotional breather that let you forget the world’s sorrows—if only for a moment—Power Plush are now plunging into a new era. And of course: the old values are still important. It’s a farewell to pastel colors, playful ornamentation, and subtlety. Instead, the sound becomes more precise, returning to their punk roots: Power Plush now sound more tangible, leaving their dreamy world behind and landing back in reality—a reality with all its rough edges that must be navigated—accompanied by a sound that feels bigger than it did just a few years ago. A sound that bursts forth more boldly and breathes more intensely, that belongs on bigger stages and, above all, plays out in reality.
