Mariia Vorotilina (sher/her) is a curator and activist from Zhytomyr, Ukraine, currently based between Chemnitz and Berlin. Her work focuses on translocal grassroots solidarities in complex political contexts. She engages with visual arts through queer feminist and decolonial lenses. Mariia is interested in exploring “Eastern Europe” as an invented concept and critically examining the Western gaze on this region.
