“It didn’t rain,” “It didn’t rain,” “It didn’t rain that day” refers to the Turing Test as a game of imitation of human communication and how our daily role-playing with large language models is reshaping our past.
In the game, we explore how different Large Language Models (LLMs) generate meanings, contexts, and emotions, and how these, in turn, affect collective memory and cultural traumas.
The game scenarios are specifically developed for each location. Historical, spatial, and social contexts are woven into the narrative structure and shape how the game unfolds. The location thus becomes not merely a backdrop, but an active component of the narrative. Local stories, existing traces, and atmospheric qualities are incorporated and translated by the system into new, speculative scenarios. This gives rise to site-specific narratives that interweave the past, present, and possible futures.
