Kosmos Youth Editorial Team

With the Mobile Youth Editorial Team, we want to give you the chance to share your own perspective at the Kosmos Festival—right in the thick of the festival action. You can tackle topics that matter to you, interview people you’ve always wanted to talk to about a specific issue, and tell the stories that no one else might otherwise share.

In our open workshop format, you’ll learn how to ask questions, conduct interviews, produce content, and creatively express your view of the festival and life in Chemnitz—whether through a short video, photo story, social media post, mini-podcast, or written piece. You’ll be in charge of your own piece and decide what you want to highlight.

On site, you’ll gain professional know-how and apply it directly to your own pieces. This results in authentic youth journalism that showcases the festival from your perspective while simultaneously strengthening your media literacy, participation, and self-efficacy.

Your work will be published and contribute to diverse, youthful, and independent reporting. It’s important to us to be present especially in places where young voices often go unheard. With the mobile youth newsroom, we’re creating a space where your voice matters most and where you can bring journalistic forms of expression to life in your own unique way.
