Straddling nostalgia and progressiveness, MODULAR cannot be easily defined –
self-referential, socially critical, feminist. Their deliberately fluid soundscapes create contrasts that compel fusion. In doing so, they capture the dark and the beautiful, the gray and the colorful, the warm and the cold, creating a new German-language romanticism with an 80s nostalgia. In the tension between alternative, wave, and indie pop, a unique soundscape emerges that captures the spirit of the times.
