Nico Cleemann Trio
Jazz

The Nico Cleemann Trio has a long history behind it. Back in 2003, the jazz pianist originating from Rügen and living in Rostock met the drummer Toni Müller, who now resides in Chemnitz, at a jazz club. They studied together at the Dresden College of Music 'Carl Maria von Weber'. They founded a trio that lasted until the end of their studies. Their concerts took them to the Chemnitz Jazz Festival several times, among other places. Nico Cleemann ended up in Rostock. Since they never lost touch, they decided to have an internal band reunion in 2024, which is now being continued at the Rostock jazz club. They were able to recruit the very active local music scene bassist Andreas Böhm as a new member. Nico Cleemann, in particular, shares a very good collaboration with him in the Jellyfish Jazz Orchestra.
