On June 12 and 13, 2025, we will bring together the pop music funding institutions from the states and other representatives of the music industry and pop culture from Germany and the Czech Republic to the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025!
The diverse program of POPxKOSMOS is designed and organized by the Landesverband der Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaft Sachsen e.V., KREATIVES SACHSEN, BPM interim, the Bundesverband Popularmusik e.V., Sound Czech, Berlin Music Commission, Kreativní Prahaas well as the VUT Ost.
The patchwork event at the Stadtwirtschaft Chemnitz is intended to provide a space for exchange, networking, and new impulses within regional and national music promotion, to identify the needs and challenges of music creators, and to develop concrete perspectives and concepts for future collaboration in the music sector through various roundtables and panel discussions.
The second Fachtag POP Sachsen on Friday, June 13, 2025, will specifically address Saxony. With a focus on clubs & event organizers as well as musicians and music creators, we want to engage with you in two intensive rounds to examine the current opportunities and challenges for actors and initiatives. And since at POPxKOSMOS it's not just about talking about music, but also experiencing and listening to it, a concert eveningforms the central conclusion of the two days and at the same time the prelude to the KOSMOS Festival. Eleven bands and solo acts from Saxony, Germany, and the Czech Republic will perform in the clubs NoNation and Lokomov directly opposite the Stadtwirtschaft Chemnitz. The concerts are presented by the regional pop offices ImPuls Brandenburg, LAG Songkultur Thuringia & diePOP, VPByBavaria, Pop Office Bremen, pop rlp Rhineland-Palatinate, Berlin Music Commission, PopBoard NRW, PopKW Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Sound Czech and LVKKW Sachsen take place.
