The Other Others
Deep House
The Other Others is an experimental deep house Afro-futurism project by dub poetry free spirit Jasmine Tutum and the Jahtari founders Disrupt and Rootah.
Jasmine was born in Tokyo, grew up in Jamaica, has African roots, and now lives in Freiburg / Germany. There, she hosted radio shows for many years, with a voice that can range from Grace Jones to a cosmic version of Paul St. Hilaire and many unique places in between.
Rootah was very active in the Leipzig techno scene during the 1990s, but after he got to know disrupt at a construction site, he explored everything related to dub and bass as a producer and DJ, and since 2004 he has played many Jahtari live shows.
Disrupt produced most of the Jahtari releases, performed all over the world with many different artists and runs the small subsidiary label Zonedog, which specializes in Sonic Fiction.
