Claudia Muntschick

A native of Bautzen, she first earned a diploma in architecture and later completed a master’s degree in urban development and historic preservation while working full-time. Since 2004, her planning work at her own architecture firm has focused on the development of collaboratively used industrial brownfields. In 2013, she took over management of the iconic Haus Schminke in Löbau and, following the bankruptcy of the main sponsor, rebuilt the team, the program content, and the day-to-day operations. She now serves on the board of the Haus Schminke Foundation.

Since 2017, she has been working primarily in eastern Saxony for KREATIVES SACHSEN, advising cultural and creative enterprises, developing continuing education and networking programs, and overseeing the “Kreativorte Sachsen” project. As a member of various advisory boards and juries, she represents the perspective of creative professionals in the context of economic, regional, and urban planning issues.
