David Zabel

David Zabel is an education activist, cultural mediator, Afrofuturist, and community matchmaker from Kassel. He is active nationwide at the intersection of art, education, culture, sports, and civil society, advocating for Black perspectives, cultural participation, and social cohesion.

As a member of the Initiative Schwarze Menschen in Deutschland e.V., longtime chair of the Kassel Cultural Advisory Board, and co-founder of the organization Roots Against Racism in Sports e.V., he advocates for the visibility and empowerment of marginalized perspectives in cultural institutions, educational settings, and organized sports. His work combines empowerment, community-building, anti-racism, and cultural education.
