Eter Hachmann

I was born in Tbilisi, Georgia, and have been living in Germany for many years. My own experience as an immigrant shapes my perspective on social developments as well as my academic and professional work.

I studied political science and currently serve as the Director of Social Affairs, Education, Youth, and Senior Citizens for the City of Dessau-Roßlau. In addition, I am active in various committees and networks promoting forward-looking integration policies, the recruitment of skilled workers, political education, and social cohesion.

Migration, democracy, and the East German perspective are topics that are central to me both personally and professionally. I am convinced that integration can only succeed if we are willing to listen to one another, tolerate differences, and develop shared solutions.
