Kathryn Döhner
I am a musician, artist, cultural project organizer, and host of the podcast “Sound of Connection.” Over the past six years, I have worked with colleagues to build the Kulturbahnhof Leisnig into a vibrant cultural hub in rural Saxony—a place for music, connection, and new ideas.
My flagship project is the Bahnhofsorchester: an international ensemble that brings together people from diverse musical and cultural backgrounds. Within just a few days, people who often didn’t know each other before come together to create a shared sound and put on a grand final concert. This project exemplifies my work: I create spaces, connect people, and facilitate creative processes.
In the podcast “Sound of Connection,” I talk with musicians, artists, and other extraordinary people about music, creativity, connection, and the question of how we want to live together and shape the future.
