Luana Brückner
political education
I have been working in the field of political education for several years. My focus is on the topics of anti-racism, empowerment, and gender reflection. The projects I’m currently involved in include “Bridges That Bring Us Closer—Encounters Between Boys and Young Men With and Without Experiences of Racism in Saxony” and “Film Macht Mut Saxony,” a project that brings critical discussions of racism and antisemitism to school classrooms from first through sixth grade.
It is particularly important to me to be able to do this work here in Saxony, as I myself, as an Afro(East)German and queer person, have long struggled with a sense of powerlessness—a feeling that is now beginning to fade.
