Susanne Krauß

Susanne Krauß studied journalism and sociology at the University of Leipzig and has been working for over twenty years as a freelance writer and director for public broadcasters (ARTE, ARD, ZDF, BR, MDR, Deutsche Welle, etc.). She focuses on topics related to nature and wildlife, history, society, and science, and has received numerous awards for her documentaries. Susanne Krauß lived in Africa for several years and has called the Ore Mountains home since 2020. Since April 2026, the filmmaker has been part of KREATIVES SACHSEN and serves as the point person for the Southwest Saxony region. She is passionate about raising the profile of, connecting, and supporting professionals in the cultural and creative industries from this region of Saxony.
