United Club Convention

United Club Convention is a series of events initiated by the Chemnitz club Atomino, with the aim of making the local club scene and its history visible throughout Germany and promoting networking at the European level. Concerts, parties, exciting lectures, discussion rounds, workshops, and other pop-up events with European participation at different locations in the city invite people to come together, exchange across generations, and experience together throughout the year. Topics such as inclusion, participation, or awareness are just a few points among many. Above all, it is about showing, beyond common clichés of excess and escapism, the transformative power inherent in club culture and how important it is for a city like Chemnitz. Because even—and especially—beyond metropolises, the following holds true: club culture is also culture, and above all, clubs as physical meeting places and spaces for experimentation are important for coexistence, cohesion, and social exchange.
