KOSMOS program recommendations

Great ideas often start small – and that's exactly why we need places like this. Chemnitz is a fertile ground for bold, creative entrepreneurs. The fact that we are on a positive way is demonstrated by the Chemnitz University of Technology. Our university ranks fourth among medium-sized universities in the 'Gründungsradar des Stifterverbandes 2025' (Founders' Radar of the Donors' Association 2025). It is certified for outstanding support and networking in the field of entrepreneurship.
The program item 'Just quickly save the world – your startup in 60 minutes' shows how a company can emerge from an idea. Perhaps an inspiration for potential entrepreneurs.

Inclusion begins where people meet each other – with openness, respect, and curiosity. The event 'ZusammenKlang' by the SFZ brings together people with and without disabilities, breaks down barriers – and shows how diverse and vibrant our city is.
Because Chemnitz aims to be there for everyone – regardless of origin, limitations, or life circumstances. Because accessibility is not only about people with disabilities. It is indispensable for some, necessary for many, and a benefit for all of us. With formats like this, we bring a topic into focus that deserves much more attention: lived inclusion.

Basketball is more than just a game – it connects people, transcends boundaries, and brings dynamism to our city. As a basketball fan, I am excited about the tournament at Konkordiapark – directly in the heart of Chemnitz.
Our city is a basketball city – this is not only demonstrated by the successes of the NINERS, but also by the passion with which people play on the new, colorful courts. They are a real eye-catcher – a place that radiates far beyond the sport itself. It is both a playing field and a work of art, open to all generations and cultures.

The 'Dancing Neighbours' impressively demonstrate what happens when people move – in the truest sense of the word. Here, generations and cultures dance together, professionals and amateurs, young and old. It is a project full of energy, openness, and joie de vivre.
With their performance, they transform the public space into a stage that is open to everyone. Uncomplicated, inclusive – and with a professional artistic quality that combines contemporary and urban dance.
Anyone who wants to experience what diversity feels like should not miss this flash mob.

I am pleased that Juli is on stage at KOSMOS. Their songs are considered by many to be the soundtrack of life – full of emotion, energy, and clear words. I personally value German-language music very much because it conveys emotions directly and connects people.
