The GenZ activist and political educator has been based in Chemnitz for 10 years, with interruptions: Her three attempts to move away have always brought her back. Because there are places like KOSMOS that show what a city can feel like. For everyone still scrolling through the timetable feeling lost: No worries, here are her top picks for the weekend:
Overwhelmed? Same, let's talk
☄️
☄️

Unfortunately, I can relate to the title too much - because everything is a bit much right now. Wage labor, mental health, love life, political world situation, and once again the monthly rent - how is one not supposed to feel overwhelmed? This panel picks up exactly where many of us young people are standing right now: in the midst of chaos. Instead of toxic positivity, there's an open ear for worries and the opportunity to share fears. A safer space to breathe, speak out, and simply be.

Best of Poetry Slam – Festival Edition
☄️
☄️

Poetry Slams were the first places in my youth where I met people who could express my thoughts with their words. That is why they still hold a special place in my heart today. At the Best of Poetry Slam, the strongest voices of the scene come together: loud, soft, angry, tender, funny, political, or personal. For everyone who wants to be touched by words. Let yourselves drift and experience how thoughts become poetry.

Ultimate World Karaoke - Excellent Chemnitz Edition
☄️
☄️

Because nothing connects people like singing favorite songs off-key together!? At my favorite parties, music is not just listened to, but also performed. In doing so, we always walk the fine line between embarrassing ourselves and feeling insanely liberating - choose your side. In this Karaoke Special Edition, you can expect not only all-time favorites but also local Chemnitz classics. Whether you sing along, belt it out, or empathize - being there is what counts. Count me in!

The parliament dreams
☄️
☄️

What if our parliaments were not just administering, but also dreaming? This expansive photo installation constructs a session of the EU Parliament that closes its eyes and looks inward. A quiet, powerful work that poses questions such as: What is the European dream today, and who is allowed to dream it? Because we need political spaces where we can imagine tomorrow - dream with us! PS: The exhibition is open all weekend, so it's also perfect for a quick visit.
