Ninety years after the deportation of hundreds of Berlin Roma and Sinti to the Berlin-Marzahn forced labor camp—while the city was staging the Olympic Games—and in commemoration of August 2, the European Day of Remembrance for the Genocide of Roma* and Sinti, this live podcast bridges the past and the present. We speak with artist, curator, and activist Hamze Bytyçi about remembrance and self-efficacy, as well as current developments—including those in East Germany.
